South African music star Sho Madjozi is preparing to close the curtain on her music career with the release of her third and final album, a move that has left fans both stunned and reflective. The project, titled Limpopo Champions League vol.2, promises to be a fitting culmination of her groundbreaking journey, celebrating her roots while paving the way for new creative pursuits.
Known for her vibrant style and rich storytelling, Sho Madjozi is set to bring her signature energy to the visuals for her lead single off her upcoming album titled Ndi Reni featuring South African heavyweights Makhadzi and Gatsheni. While details about the music video remain under wraps, fans can expect a celebration of her roots, creativity, and the themes that have defined her career, empowerment, and a deep connection to her Tsonga heritage.

Sho Madjozi, born Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif rose to fame with her single, Dumi HiPhone, in collaboration with PS DJz, put her on the map. She followed it up with hits like Huku and John Cena, which further propelled her career. The viral success of John Cena was a game-changer, earning her international attention and performances on platforms like The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Her debut album, Limpopo Champions League, solidified her as a force in the African music industry.

Speaking to SABC News, Sho Madjozi confirmed it would be her last album. “I feel like I’ve said everything I needed to say through music,” she shared. “From celebrating culture and language to championing the idea of being a woman without the need for hyper sexualization, I’ve made the points I wanted to make, and I think I’ve made them well.”
The award-winning artist is diving into documentary filmmaking, with a major boost from National Geographic. Armed with funding and a passion for storytelling, she plans to explore themes that resonate with her multifaceted identity and global perspective.
