Held at the chic Summer Place in Hyde Park, Johannesburg, the event gathered some of the nation's most influential figures from business, entertainment, and sport.
The Glamour Awards, known for celebrating female excellence, spotlighted Mphela’s meteoric rise in the music industry, lauding her innovative fusion of amapiano, pop, and dance music. With an ever-growing fanbase both locally and internationally, Kamo has carved out a niche as one of the genre’s trailblazers, pushing musical and cultural boundaries in a way that resonates globally.

Other notable winners at the event included fashion mogul Kat van Duinen, who took home the Fashion Designer Game Changer Award, and DJ Zinhle, who received the Editor’s Award for her entrepreneurial prowess. Zinhle’s heartfelt acceptance post praised her supporters, writing, “This is not just my win—it’s OURS. To every customer, supporter, and believer, thank you for being the heartbeat of this journey. Together, we’re building a legacy of strength and style.”
The evening also honored other outstanding women, with Nadia Jaftha winning the Content Creator Game Changer Award, while icons like Tatjana Smith and Thuli Madonsela were celebrated for their lifelong contributions to their respective fields, taking home the prestigious Icon Award.
